Mandarin Hunters in Batumi: A Unique Wildlife Experience

Itinerary: Batumi-Kobuleti-Mountainous Ajara-Batumi. Your stay in Georgia will be remembered for its vibrant nature, rich history, and the hospitality of the locals. And we'll add another form of entertainment to the mix: picking juicy tangerines.
Day 1: Arrival at the airport, transfer and hotel check-in after 2:00 PM. Free time. Overnight in Batumi.
Day 2: Batumi Botanical Garden – Evening Walking City Tour (3 hours). Breakfast at the hotel. Pick-up from hotels and departure to the Batumi Botanical Garden. Free time for walking in the garden (no guided tour inside). In the evening, we’ll start exploring Batumi from its scenic seaside boulevard, then head into the Old Town with its cobbled streets and charming low-rise buildings. We'll visit three main squares: Europe, Theatre, and Piazza. Next is the colorful Turkish Quarter, full of small shops and eastern flair. On Rustaveli Street, Batumi's main avenue, you'll see a mix of modern skyscrapers and cozy courtyards, European and Ottoman architecture. Don’t miss the famous Ali and Nino sculpture – a symbol of love. We'll also stop by a wine shop for tasting and optional purchases. Return to the hotel on your own. Optional: Dolphin Show at the Batumi Dolphinarium (ticket delivery by guide, attendance on your own; extra cost per person). Overnight in Batumi.
Day 3: Mandarin Harvesting Experience. Breakfast at the hotel. Pick-up from hotels and departure toward Kobuleti resort. Nearby, in a small village, we’ll visit a local Adjarian family. On a scenic hillside, you'll take part in the traditional harvest of "golden fruits" – juicy mandarins. The orchard is all yours for 2 hours. Afterward, the host will invite us into a small wine cellar for a tasting of homemade wines, liqueurs, and chacha, served with local snacks. On the way back to Batumi, we’ll stop at a cozy wine cellar for a hands-on Adjarian Khachapuri masterclass. Afterwards, enjoy your own creation along with a traditional Georgian lunch. Return to Batumi and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Batumi.
Day 4: Batumi – Mountainous Adjara (Machakhela Gorge) – Batumi. Breakfast at the hotel. Pick-up from hotels. We’ll head high into the mountains, following the Adjaristskali River to the stunning, untouched landscapes of the Machakhela Gorge. On the way back to Batumi, we’ll stop at Sarpi Resort, known for having the clearest waters on Georgia’s Black Sea coast. Return transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Batumi.
Day 5: Departure from Batumi. Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out and group transfer to Batumi International Airport by 12:00. For evening flights: check-out at 12:00, luggage can be stored at the hotel. Pick-up by the driver 3 hours before departure.
